1972 Formula Ford Race Car

The project

To redesign a 1972 Titan Formula Ford Race Car for a client who loves racing cars. My client was looking to have a classic, vintage feel but in a modern approach. He especially gravitated towards blues and yellows, but wanted to have colors that would feel energetic. In addition, I created team shirts for his crew.

Results

After researching the typical vintage race car designs, along with aligning on the final colors to use, I brainstormed a handful of different designs and narrowed on one with stripes and a yellow swoop. See below for the before and after, along with the race car in action at a race in October 2020.
