Pop to the Shop: UK COVID-19 Relief

Pop to the Shop

The problem & opportunity

With the onset of COVID-19 and the severity of the situation, people who are high-risk of severe symptoms are at a loss. They were at the disposal of expensive delivery services or kind family members or neighbors to get basic goods. Pop to the Shop is a non-profit initiative with a mission to connect those in self-isolation with local people who can purchase and deliver much-needed food and medicine from local shops.

Project duration: 2 weeks in 2020

My role

The user flows and requirements had already been mapped out, so my role was to quickly create a visual language, logo, and the visual designs for both the marketing and in product experiences. As this idea was started and service was created at the outbreak of COVID-19 in March 2020, I needed to crank out all designs within 2 weeks to ensure the most amount of people could utilize this service as quickly as possible.

Results

The service launched in April 2020 and you can check it out for yourself here. If you live in the UK and are looking for ways to help, feel free to sign up to volunteer and deliver much-needed food and medicine from local shops to your neighbors.
